Michael Choi

Michael started playing golf in the early 1980s.  Previously a teacher at Greendale Golf Course, Hilltop Golf Club, Pinecrest Golf Course and Korea Times Culture Center, he now teaches at the Oak Marr Golf Complex.  He believes that "golf is science" and stresses not only technique but also theory.  He says "A player cannot always be with the instructor, so he or she should learn how to "catch a fish" by him or herself"  He teaches with patience until his student is satisfied.  



Gary Cricks

Gary's teaching philosophy is that simple is better.  He beleves that a golf swing should fit the student instead of the student trying to fit into a model swing.  Gary emphasizes short game skill instruction and playing lessons to ensure that his students are developing their entire golf game.  

Gary has been teaching all levels of players since 2001.  Many of his junior students have gone on to compete in college. He was honored by the World Golf Teachers Federation as a Top 100 Teacher.  While earning his bachelor's degree, Gary played on the golf team for Baldwin-Wallace University in Ohio.  He has competed as an amateur and professional in local, state, and national events.  He is a certified club fitter with Callaway, Ping, Mizuno, Titleist, Taylor Made, and Cleveland/Srixon golf companies.  



Danny Hubbard

Danny Hubbard exudes the love of golf in everything he does.  He brings 30 years of experience in golf and loves to teach groups of all ages including those who need to sharpen their skills for corporate or business outings.  Danny is a USGTF certified instructor and a former PGA Apprentice who believes in stressing the fundamentals of golf.  He is a certified Master Club Fitter for Callaway Golf and Ping Golf.  Having the ability to "dial in" to the person resulted in  Danny being listed in Golf Digest's 2015 "Top 100 Club Fitters" list.  He uses that skill in his teaching approach where he works with every individual's skills and abilities.  Don't confuse his easy going style with the ability to help you perfect YOUR golf swing.  Danny couples his teaching skills with competitive experiences.  He stepped away from a very successful IT career to compete in the European, Sunbelt, and Heartland Senior Tours and brings that knowledge to his teaching.
Danny is the proud father of three grown sons who have all completed in golf tournaments, winning awards in their own rights.  Danny is available for private and group lessons. 


Rony McPherson

After 12 years in the computer industry, Rony played golf professionally on various mini tours in the Carolinas and Florida.  Rony has worked in the golf industry for over 25 years as a caddie, high school golf coach, lead instructor for the First Tee of Washington, DC, and PG County Chapters and as Assistant Golf Professional at Woodmore County Club.  His knowledge of the golf swing and his flexible style of teaching compliment each student's specific goals and physical abilities.  Rony's goal is to make golf fun and keep the swing simple.  He believes that today's technology and training techniques help to speed up the learning process for the student, which makes it more enjoyable and easier to comprehend.  


Kara Moore

Kara Moore started playing golf at the age of 7.  She grew up in Centreville, Va, and took lessons from long-time Virginia coach, Varden Dyer.  Kara was a 4 year varsity golfer at Westfield High School. 

After graduating from Marymount, Kara volunteered with the First Tee D.C. and returned to Westfields High School as a golf coach.  

Kara is enthusiastic about golf and has a passion for sharing golf with kids, teens and adults.  She credits the US Kids Level Learning Program for a structured, goal-oriented, FUN was to help juniors love the game as much as she does.  

Kara is an apprentice with the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional division.   

Spanky Richards

Spanky Richards, a PGA Apprentice, has been playing golf for most of his life.  As a Staff Professional at The Every Body Golf School, Spanky has worked with every level of student, junior camps, group and private lessons.  His teaching philosophy is that each student will have his/her own swing and that the teaching/coaching must suit the individual. It is with this philosophy, Spanky's students have competed at the highest levels including: US Senior Open,  Virginia Senior Open, MAPGA Spring Fling, Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and the Bobby Bowers Junior Golf Tournament. He was the Assistant Golf Professional at Greene County Country Club in Pennsylvania and Tournament Administrator for the Tri-State PGA Junior Golf Tour.
Spanky graduated from California University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Professional Golf Management. While there, he organized monthly teaching summits with some of the top professionals in the Tri-State PGA.

In addition to his teaching, Spanky is the Office Administrator for the golf school, keeping our online scheduling system running and our office humming.  Spanky is the head golf coach for Flint Hill High School Varsity Golf team, 2016 Mid- Atlantic Conference Champions. He also serves as a coach for the Oak Marr Junior Golf team, and as an instructor for the Oakcrest School Girls Golf team.  He is currently working towards PGA membership.  

Michael Vechery

Coach Mike has over 37 years of golf experience as a player and coach.  He became a coach to pass on his extensive knowledge of the great game of golf to beginners, intermediate players, and professionals. Coach Mike provides private, playing and group lessons to men, women, and kids.  He has educated himself by watching and playing with some of the top teachers and players in the game and has read the varied golf theories of prolific teachers both past and present.  Coach Mike has also endlessly watched and analyzed the moves and technique of the all time great ball strikers (Moe Norman, Lee Trevino, Ben Hogan, Annika Sorenstam, and Jack Nicklaus), chippers (Ray Floyd, Gary Player, and putters (Bobby Locke, Ben Crenshaw).  He has developed his own special and unique golf philosophy and teaching.  It is this philosophy that is creating golf champions and believers.  He coached and instructed his daughter Lauren to 15 victories in 2015 including the Virginia State 9 Hole Championship for 13 and under girls and the Algonkian Women's Club Championship playing her first every 18 hole of golf (84- 5500 yards).  She also shot the lowest score in the United States in US Kids competitions for 8-9 year old grls in 2014.  Mike graduated from the University of Georgia (BBA) and earned an MBA from Georgetown University.  Mike and his 10 year old daughter reside in Potomac Falls, Virginia.  Mike can be found on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube at Mike_V_Golf and his website is
